Eucharistic Adoration

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Church of the Nativity is blessed to have Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Since 1996 our Church has been open day and night for prayer and adoration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. People are present for adoration at all times, except during official functions (Masses, funeral, weddings, etc.) Everyone is encouraged to regularly come and spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

At Nativity, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the altar in the monstrance for prayer and adoration. Catholics from this parish and from over a wide area sign-up and commit to spending one hour per week before the Lord. We are always in need of adorers to come to pray and be present so there is always some one in the Church.

To sign-up and ensure your participation and prayers in His presence, contact:

To all Adorers,

As a courtesy, if you cannot make your scheduled time, please call Mary Ellen Peloso preferably with as much advanced notice as possible. We thank you for all of your devoted commitment to the Blessed Sacrament. God Bless Us All!

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Church of the Nativity, Menlo Park

The following is to be prayed in community at the beginning of each hour. The remainder of the hour is to be silent.

Holy Hour Intentions

  •  For all the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
  •  For peace in the world, the protection of marriage and families, and the protection of our religious liberty.
  • For the spiritual growth of Nativity Parish and School, and for all other parishes.
  •  For the wisdom, holiness, and courage needed by the pope, bishops, priests, deacons and religious to guide the Church, and for an increase in these vocations.
  •  For an end to abortion, and that human life at all stages may be recognized as sacred.
  •  For the souls in purgatory and those who most need this hour of prayer for their salvation.
  •  For the needs and intentions in our book of petitions, and those of all adorers, and for an increase in the number of adorers.
  •  In thanksgiving for everything God has given us, and for the grace to accept His will.

Fatima Prayer

O my God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love You. I beg pardon for all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and do not love You. O most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly. I offer You the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

Prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in this day of battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who roam through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

The Holy Rosary

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Leader: Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.

All:    That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Leader: Let us pray.

All:  O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection has purchased for

us the rewards of eternal salvation, grant we beseech Thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Leader: May the divine assistance remain always with us.

All:    And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

On the ten small beads of each decade:

Leader:  For the sake of His sorrowful Passion

All: Have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Conclusion at the end of the chaplet:

All: Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world

(three times).

Jesus, we trust in You

(three times).
