Pentecost begins May 19

Mother's Day Cards

What could be a better gift to your mother, wife, mother-in-law, grandmother, godmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, daughter or friend than to be remembered in a novena of Masses in observance of Mother's Day at Church of the Nativity?

Mother's Day cards are now available at the entrances to the church.  Put your name of your loved ones who are mothers, living or deceased on the larger envelope and return it to the parish office or put in the collection. Then send the card to your favorite mother. These names will be placed on the altar all of the month of May so that they will be remembered in a novena of Masses that will be said in their honor.

Special Collection

This Sunday, we will take up the Catholic Home Missions Appeal.  Today, nearly 40% of dioceses in the United States and its territories are unable to fund the essential pastoral work their communities needs.  Your support of this appeal helps them meet these faith formation and sacramental needs.  Please prayerfully consider how you can support this appeal.  More information can be found at www.usccb.org/home-missions.

Transform the poor through Cross Catholic Outreach

This Sunday, Fr. Pascal Kumanda from Cross International will be here to speak about this organization and their needs.  Cross Catholic mobilizes the global Catholic Church to transform the poor and their communities materially and spiritually for the glory of Jesus Christ.  They bring food, water, housing, education, support for vulnerable children, health care, and disaster relief to the poorest of the poor.  To learn more, please visit https://crosscatholic.org/outreach/

On May 13, 2024, Monday, we will begin our 2024 Fatima Celebrations, Novena.  It will include Holy Mass, rosary Candlelight Procession, Benediction, and a talk on the apparitions.  The celebration continues each month or or about the 13th until October.

Mary taught the children about the gravity of sin, which merits temporal punishment, the reality of Grace by which we are given the vision of God, and the efficacy of the daily recitation of the Rosary to bring about world peace.  Please join us in these celebrations.  To find out the schedule, click here.
