Wine Country Dinner for 10
Prepare yourself to be transported to an Italian experience that involves Monsignor Otellini’s Culinary Magic being created in the Mediterranean-Like setting of the Napa Valley.  Entertainment, Cocktails, Antipasti plus a marvelous dinner will be orchestrated and presented by the Monsignor himself along with the help of some Wine Country cooking notables.  The event is scheduled on either Friday May 19th or Sunday May 21st pursuant to the preference of the lucky winner(s).
The fun will occur at the St. Helena newly transformed home of Gail & Carmen Policy who are long-time friends of Nativity parish and school.  All of Monsignor’s dinner courses will be paired meticulously by Carmen and his wine maker Thomas Brown who will also help source the fine Italian varietals and vintages. This deliciously spirited evening will also be dotted with unexpected guests from the world of Wine, Food and Athletics…..depending upon who will be passing through.
We ask you to bring only your best expectations and a wonderful appetite.

Nativity Church is open 24 x 7.
The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration and there is always someone present in prayer.  Won't you join us by signing up for a weekly Holy Hour?
Jesus told an Irish priest (in our current century) that midnight adoration is as powerful as fasting.
Please consider the following hour/s that needs filling in:

Mondays 4:00 AM
Tuesdays 6:00 AM
Thursdays 8:00 AM
Saturdays 9:00 PM
(There is no one currently assigned to them (or pick an hour that works best for you).
To sign up, please call Mary Ellen Peloso at 650-269-7794.

St. Vincent de Paul - calling for volunteers!
Our St. Vincent de Paul Conference is in need of volunteers. If you are able to help them help the poor in our area, please call Dan Winnike at 650-714-4644.

The Spiritual Exercises are a weekend silent retreat with spiritual talks and time for personal meditation in silence.  These retreats are preached by the priests of Miles Christi, according to the method and principles of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
Apart from the conferences and time for prayer, each day there will also be Holy Mass, Holy Rosary, and an opportunity for confessions.
Silent Ignatian retreats, based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, offered by the priests of Miles Christi, a religious order devoted to the laity's sanctification. Throughout the centuries, the spiritual exercises have become known as an excellent means of sanctification, highly praised by popes and saints. There will be spiritual talks, Eucharistic adoration, daily Mass and Rosary.

For more information, contact Christine Timmerman at california@spiritualexercises.net or at (858) 263-5113, or visit mileschristi.org/spiritual-exercises.

Check out their website to find out for local events.
