Start your day here! Updates - June 2, 2024 Friday
Note: There will be no morning confessions on Saturday, June 3rd. Thank you for your understanding.
Fatima Mass and Celebration
In the first encounter, the Blessed Virgin Mary taught the children about the gravity of sin which merits temporal punishment (which we are experiencing), the reality of Grace by which we are given the vision of God, and the efficacy of the daily recitation of the Rosary to bring about world peace. Join us as we go into the second novena on June 13, Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Followed by church grounds rosary procession and ending with the benediction. |
Disability curb parking
Out of consideration for our parishioners who require the special parking spaces because of a disability, please leave the spaces along the driveway (where the curb is painted blue) and the 5 spaces near the O'Hare Center for those who truly need them. Thank you for your consideration and cooperation. |
Church entrance and exit driveway
There have been on many occasions that cars are seen zipping through the church's entrance and exit driveways. Out of consideration to each and every one of us who has to walk the parking lot to get to our parked cars, please SLOW DOWN. It's not a raceway track. Thank you for your consideration and cooperation. |
Father's Day is June 18th
What could be a better gift to your father, husband, father-in-law, grandfather, godfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, son, or friend than to be remembered in a novena of Masses in observance of Father’s Day at the Church of the Nativity? Father’s Day Cards are available at the entrances to the church. Put the name(s) of your loved ones who are fathers, living or deceased, on the larger envelope and return it to the parish office or put it into the collection. Send the card to your favorite father. These names will be placed on the altar during June so that they will be remembered in a novena of Masses that will be said in their honor. |

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration and there is always someone present in prayer. Won't you join us by signing up for a weekly Holy Hour? Jesus told an Irish priest (in our current century) that midnight adoration is as powerful as fasting. Please consider the following hour/s that needs filling in: Mondays 5:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM Tuesdays 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM Wednesdays 6:00 AM Thursdays 2:00 PM Fridays 8:00 PM Saturdays 9:00 PM (There is no one currently assigned to them (or pick an hour that works best for you). To sign up, please call Mary Ellen Peloso at 650-269-7794. |

The Spiritual Exercises are a weekend silent retreat with spiritual talks and time for personal meditation in silence. These retreats are preached by the priests of Miles Christi, according to the method and principles of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
Apart from the conferences and time for prayer, each day there will also be Holy Mass, Holy Rosary, and an opportunity for confessions. |
Silent Ignatian retreats, based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, offered by the priests of Miles Christi, a religious order devoted to the laity's sanctification. Throughout the centuries, the spiritual exercises have become known as an excellent means of sanctification, highly praised by popes and saints. There will be spiritual talks, Eucharistic adoration, daily Mass and Rosary.
