Outdoor Masses for Daily and Sunday Masses
Nov. 29, 2020 - effective immediately, San Mateo County has been put in the Purple Widespread Tier 1 list, therefore, Church of the Nativity will be serving outdoor Masses moving forward. The church front courtyard will be the location of where outdoor Daily and Sunday Masses will be held, with special attention to mandatory compliance on social distancing and facial mask requirements.
- There will be no online reservation.
- All Daily and Sunday weekend Masses are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Outdoor seating for Daily Masses - front church courtyard with a few benches available for open seating. We encourage you to bring your own chairs.
- Outdoor seating for Sunday weekend Masses - We have moved some of the outdoor benches from the front church courtyard to the back plaza (in-between the church and O'Hare center) for a quieter surrounding. We still encourage you to bring your own chairs.
- O'Hare Center will not be available.
ATTENTION:
We cannot stress enough the importance of these state/county public health mandates that have been put in place for everyone's health and safety, therefore, your compliance with the guidelines for attending outdoor Mass is greatly appreciated.
Please be advised of the following rules which remain in effect for outdoors:
We cannot stress enough the importance of these state/county public health mandates that have been put in place for everyone's health and safety, therefore, your compliance with the guidelines for attending outdoor Mass is greatly appreciated.
Please be advised of the following rules which remain in effect for outdoors:
- Maintain physical/social distancing from person-to-person at all times — a minimum of at least 6 feet (unless you are within the same household).
- It is REQUIRED to wear FACE MASKS (to include covering the nose) at all times in the church or even for being outdoors, with the exception of receiving the Holy Communion.
- Everyone is encouraged to bring their own chairs.
- All Masses (daily and weekend) are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Some hand sanitizer is available but please bring your own as well.
- Please do not park alongside the curb as you go in the entrance driveway of the church property. That is all marked as RED ZONE area. Per fire safety measures, the driveway entrance has to have space wide enough for a fire truck to go through. We have plenty of parking spaces at the back parking lot.
- During communion, we all tend to line up with less than the mandate of 6 feet apart while waiting for our turn. PLEASE, be mindful of that 6-foot distance that you must maintain from the person in front of you.
If you are not feeling well or have an underlying health condition, please stay at home.
