Father Thaddeus Noel G. Laput, CM was born in Iloilo City, Philippines on December 9, 1964. He was ordained a priest of the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians) on February 27, 1999 in Manila, Philippines.

For his seminary formation he spent time in the Philippines, Taiwan and the Solomon Islands. He obtained his masters degree in Philosophy from the Divine Word Seminary in Tagaytay and masters degree in Theology from the Saint Vincent School of Theology in Manila. He also studied Chinese Language and Culture at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taipei and shortly before ordination he taught at the Holy Name of Mary Seminary in Honiara.

After ordination, he was assigned to Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Manila. But not long after that he was sent back to the seminary and taught at the Saint Vincent College Seminary in Quezon City. While in formation work he was also involved in nearby parishes for weekend ministries and was also engaged in retreat ministries in the Philippines and South Korea.

He was sent for further studies to the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium in 2003. There he obtained his Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL). He was doing his studies and research for a Doctorate in Sacred Theology (STD) specializing in Ecclesiology and focusing on the papacy and the ancient patriarchates when he came to the United States. While in Belgium, he also served in the chaplaincy and retreat ministries for overseas Filipinos in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Greece.

In 2005, he took up his first assignment in the Archdiocese of San Francisco at Saint Patrick Church in downtown San Francisco. He came to start serving here at the Church of the Nativity on July 2010 from his second assignment at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Westlake, Daly City. Since recently he has also been active in the pilgrimage ministries leading various groups on religious tours to Mexico, Europe and the Holy Land.
